Always do your best

Family Services Coordinator

Twenty years ago, I left my position at Hewlett Packard to come work with my sister at KidZCommunity. My children at the time were 3 years and 9 months. I held the position of associate teacher and at the same time continued my studies in early education. Shortly after, I had a third child. Since then I have held the positions of associate teacher, family advocate, substitute teacher, human resources technician and my current position, Family Services Coordinator, most while continuing my studies. KidZCommunity and the Head Start program have a lot to do with whom my family and I are today. I am grateful for all the coaching, professional growth and all the nationwide conferences I have been able to attend. I am proud to say that my children are successful due to them attending Head Start and my parenting skills guided by KidZCommunity. My oldest has a BA with Honors in Business and works fulltime at Adobe. My son is in college studying to become an electrical engineer and my youngest is in high school planning to go into the medical field. In my current position, I support families in many ways and always trying to be a role model “Always do your best” is my motto. I know that many parents have never had anyone supporting them and their children and in my role, I know that I can make a difference in their lives. I am proud, humbled and grateful to be part of the KidZCommunity organization.
